8 ways to remember to take your vitamins

You've done your research, found the JSHealth formulas suited to your individual needs and goals, got your bottles of vitamin gold... and now all that's left to do is the easy part, right? Yes, we mean taking them regularly!

However it's not always as simple to get into a new health routine as we'd like it to be. Sometimes making the habit to pop your vitamins can be tricky, especially when you have a busy lifestyle. So, we have come up with eight successfully road-tested tips to help you seamlessly make your vitamin protocol a regular feature of your daily grind.

Try...

  • Setting an alarm. Having a reminder go off at the same time each day will help you become consistent with your vitamins! We use the Vitamin Reminder function in the new and improved JSHealth App - it makes it SO simple! 

  • Placing them next to your breakfast. Put your vitamins next to your oats, carton of eggs or smoothie blender. Pick a spot that will be visible every morning, so when you see them you will be reminded to take them.

  • Keeping them in your handbag or on your desk. This way there’s no excuse - they’re with you at all times!

  • Taking vitamins with your meals. The more you do this, the more you’ll associate the two and won’t forget.

  • Using a pill-organising container. At the start of each week, sort your supplements into the container’s individual compartments. This way, all your daily vitamins will be right there, ready to swallow, and you won’t have to open each individual bottle. We love life hacks for simplicity!

  • Purchasing another bottle. How many times have you left your vitamins at home, only to realise you’ll be out for the rest of the day? A great tip is to keep one bottle at home, and another on your desk or in your handbag. Vitamin inundation to the rescue!

  • Having someone remind you. Ask your partner, friend or parent to verbally prompt you or send a little message every day. If they take supplements too, you can remind each other. There’s nothing like having an accountability coach!

  • Packing your vitamins with your lunch. If you pack your lunch the night before or in the morning before you head off for the day, just pop your vitamins in a small container in your lunch box. This way, they’ll be right in front of you so you can take one when you’ve finished eating. Vitamins for dessert? It works!
